Wonder if Magic is Real?

I wonder if magic is real, but only in a really mundane way.
Is it magic at all?

Well, go ahead and have a read. Maybe you’d find it too.

When I was little, I could almost unerringly switch back to Disney Channel, right as the ads ended.

And knew when my favourite program was on, even though I couldn’t read a clock.

Maybe you’ve never actually or even accidentally, crushed a ladybug underfoot. Maybe your microwave popcorn never burns. Maybe you’ve never actually caught on fire. Maybe you can spin around lots and lots of times before you get dizzy. Maybe you can jump around till your last breath when you’re excited, all the while knowing that your feet still hurt.
Is that magic??

Honestly, I’m not sure if these are magic, or just small invisible skills. I’m not sure which I like better.

My ankles never twist. I’ve always been rather active. I did track for 5 years (all the running events), and one time when I was running I stepped into a hole and lost my shoe, and landed sprawling about five feet away. I pulled on my shoe and kept running.

I can bring tears to my eyes, and make my nose look red just by coughing. Sometimes it makes people think I’ve been crying for hours.

My sister is really lucky at hailing taxicabs. Even on the busiest of days.

I have an uncle, who somehow makes better coffee than everyone else, even though the grounds come pre-measured, and all you have to do is to load them up and push a button.
My designer somehow adds that final touch to my dress and makes it look better than the rest, even though everyone takes the same measurements and stitches it according to the specifications.

Our house maid somehow makes things shine, even though she does it slowly. Our driver has never made a scratch on the car.

I have a friend who has inch long nails that never break. My brother can copy origami just by looking at the finished product, and my mother can do the same with knots.

I knew a guy who never made an error while typing.

Maybe we all have little magics. The kind that you don’t realize you have. Just tiny things that make your life slightly better, but are completely unnoticed on the outside.

This is one of the cutest things I’ve ever thought of. ❤

Nooo, I’ve actually shared this theory before. Like my Dad is really lucky finding parking spaces.
And I’ve never cracked my phone even though I’ve dropped it on hard grounds and I only have an average case.

Like what if everybody gets one trivial part of their life that they’re illogically lucky at?

Have you got one?

Maybe you’ve never actually wondered about it? Maybe they have a reason when they call us magic.

P.S. I loved writing this one. Why would you expect a magical solution to your problems, and hope for miracles, but wouldn’t rather believe in the magic within you? The greatest secrets are hidden in the most unlikely places. Think about it. 🙂

Too glam to give a damn 💫

  2. This is a really fun post! In our house, most of what you describe isn’t magic. It’s our superpowers. 🙂 That said, I do believe in magic – that the world is way more mystical than our puny brains can comprehend.

    1. Haha, heyyy that is SO COOL!!! 😃😃 So we’re all superheroes with our own super powers. ☺ And yeah you’re so right about that. Everything is so magical when we look into it. In that way, I’m an absolute fan of Einstein and his theories. ❤
Thank You you so much for reading!! 😃
